Scheduled Shopify imports for a saved supplier
In this video, Csvio fetches a supplier's file from a web link on a schedule, and updates only what changed. Foxglove Pantry is the supplier from the last two videos. Its auto-update is off.
The supplier's stock file at its link
Foxglove keeps its stock list at a web link, and changes it whenever stock moves. Nothing in the file says what changed. The griddle pan is back up to thirty, and the kettle is down to four.
Set up a daily schedule
Set up opens scheduled imports for this supplier. If your file is at a web link, Csvio can fetch it on a schedule. Add the first schedule, and give it a name. It runs with Foxglove's saved columns. The file comes from a web link. Paste the link to the file. If the link needs a password or an API key, tick this box. This one doesn't. Repeat daily, at six in the morning, in your store's time zone. New products are added as drafts. Products gone from the file can be archived. This schedule leaves them alone. And you get a short email after each run. Save. The schedule is on, daily at six, and its next run is tomorrow morning.
Run the schedule now
To try it now, use Run now. Now Csvio fetches the file, compares it with the last import from this supplier, and applies only the changes.
The result: two products updated
Finished. Two products updated. The row shows the last run. From the menu you can edit the schedule, or pause it. Paused, it won't run until you resume it.
